Sandhu\n The First Appellate Authority,\n Dept. of Higher Education \n MHRD, New Delhi\n\nSubject: Request to provide Information under RTI Act, 2005.\n\nDear Sir,\n I requested the PIO, MHRD to provide me the below mentioned information against the RTI vide Registration No. DOHED/R/2016/50864 dt. 18.03.2016. \n\n1) Please provide the copy of CBI investigation report submitted by CBI Dehradun to CVO MHRD against Prof. H. T. Thorat, Director, NIT Uttarakhand as CBI is not covered under RTI Act and the same can not be collected from CBI office.\n\n2) Please provide the Copy of documents of action taken against Prof. H. T. Thorat on the above point no. 1.\n\nBut, I have not been provided the copy of CBI investigation report and the copy of Office Memorandum recommended for action vide ref. no. C-13011/2/2015-Vig. dated 12.02.2016 against Director, NIT Uttarakhand. No attachment of the said Office Memorandum has been provided although it has been mentioned in the RTI reply that copy is enclosed.\n\nSo, I request you to provide me the copy of CBI report as CBI, SPE, Dehradun is not covered under RTI. You are also requested to provide the copy of Office Memorandum vide ref. no. C-13011/2/2015-Vig. dated 12.02.2016.\n\nThe documents are required as they are directly related to my livelihood because I have been Chargesheeted and Departmental Enquiry is being conducted by the Director, NIT Uttarakhand framing the charge against me that I have made false and baseless complaint to the PMO as a top signatory vide letter dt. 29.10.2014 against the Director only with the intention to tarnish his image. CBI enquiry had been conducted against the Director because of my complaints to the PMO with other signatories regarding his financial irregularities in NI deal. So, the documents are required to defend the charge in Departmental Enquiry that my complaint against the Director, NIT Uttarakhand was not wrong.\n\nPlease provide the certified hard and soft copy of the reply.\n\nThanking you\n\nYours sincerely \n\nDr. Saroj Ranjan De\nCitizen of India\n
