I would like to know, why this discrimination between Visvesvaraya PhD scholarship and any other Scholarship (Scholarships which are provided by UGC, CSIR, Institute). Very first a Visvesvaraya PhD fellow is getting 22500 INR plus HRA, where a fellow who is belonging from other Scholarship Scheme, is getting 25000 INR plus HRA. The initiative for Visvesvaraya PhD scheme has been taken by DEITY(Central Govt.) with a vision to support and inspire 3000 students to finish their PhD work in the domain of IT and Electronics. All other fellowship is hiked already by concerned authority except Visvesvaraya PhD scheme. From a longer period it has been observed that maximum institutions who are taking students under this visvesvaraya PhD scheme, they are giving an advertisements that scholarship is likely to be revised but there is no revision of the scholarship where rest of the scholarship scheme have been revised by their concerned authorities. My question is when this visvesvaraya PhD scholarship will be revised.
