As per MHRD circular no. F.No 17-2/2014-TS.1 dated 2-3-2015, all the MHRD funded institutes (IITs and NITs) are hiked fellowship to their students. But issue is with the departments of Management (MBA), humanities and social sciences. Most of the institutes are paying the hike fellowship to their doctoral students of all departments. Whereas some institutes (NIT Rourkela (Odisha) NIT Bhopal (Bihar)) are not agreeing to pay the hike fellowship for management, humanities and social sciences departments. These institutes say that there is nowhere mentioned in the aforesaid MHRD circular that this fellowship is meant for MBA, humanities and social sciences departments. Hence provide the information of below requests 1.Is there any special notice to each and every institutes and their departments regarding the hike in fellowship 2.On the basis of above said circular, most of the institutes are giving hike fellowship to their doctoral students belongs to management, humanities and social sciences departments. My question is, is the departments of management, humanities and social sciences of NIT Rourkela and NIT Bhopal are coming under this circular or not If not, please provide information why. 3.And also please provide the information regarding each and every IITs and NITs the amount of scholarship they are paying to their doctoral students of Management, humanities, and social sciences.
