Inaugural session
The Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam 2025 (ABSS 2025) was held on 29.07.2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, to mark the fifth anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Education Minister in which message of Hon’ble Prime Minister was read emphasising ABSS as symbol of shared commitment and cooperation. Hon’ble PM also expressed confidence that the event will not only provide opportunity for sharing of best practices, strategies and achievements, but also strengthen the consistent efforts for successful implementation of NEP.
During ABSS 2025, projects worth Rs 4,000 crore were unveiled, including new buildings for CBSE, KVS, NVS, NCERT, Central Universities, and IITs. Special focus was given to tribal education, with the foundation stone laying of 384 hostels under PM-JANMAN and DAJGUA schemes. Key digital tools like the TARA App for reading fluency and My Career Advisor App for career guidance were launched. The event also saw the inauguration of the KoshaSHRI Sanskrit portal and the ViBe Al-learning platform.
Four foreign universities Western Sydney University (WSU), Australia - Greater Noida, Victoria University (VU), Australia - Noida, La Trobe University, Australia - Bengaluru, University of Bristol, United Kingdom - Mumbai received Letters of Intent to establish campuses in India, advancing the internationalisation of higher education.
